This chapter will examine both the theoretical and empirical studies in the field.

Methodology
This chapter discusses and justifies the method adopted for this study. Ranges of techniques recommended for the addition of text to web pages were introduced in the literature review. It was necessary, then, to employ an empirical ‘trial-and-error’ process in order to test the legibility of text coded according to each technique. This would allow the combination of best practice from each method to give guidelines, which offer successful outcomes in the widest range of situations.

Results
As stated in the first chapter, the study reported here examined in detail the benefits of communicating through the medium of the Internet compared with other forms of media, it then went onto discuss how you communicate via the Internet, leading onto the problems faced when doing so and the need for a standard font size interval system across the web. This chapter will present the results of trying to achieve a consistent and accurate font size interval system throughout the Internet. More »
